Shodai Yoshida in Kameido | Offal Direct from Shibaura and Charcoal Grilled Meat
Kameido is famous for its grilled offal, and ‘Shodai Yoshida’ is one of the three major offal restaurants in Kameido. It’s about 3 minutes’ walk from Kameido Station to the first and second floors of the Tōei Building, where ‘Shodai Yoshida’ (formerly ‘Shodai Kameido Horumon Yoshida’) is located. It was one of the Tabelog Yakiniku TOKYO Hyakumeiten in 2026. If you want to include a grilled offal meal in your Tokyo itinerary, consider stopping at Kameido. This place is not only suitable for gatherings with friends but also has counter seats friendly for solo diners. There are pork and pork offal options for those who do not eat beef.
The restaurant specializes in fresh beef and pork offal delivered directly from the Shibaura market, grilled over charcoal on a traditional shichirin. The aroma is rich, and the offal is cleanly prepared with almost no unpleasant odor, which is why many people come here specifically. They also offer A5 grade lean meat. The restaurant has 32 seats in total, with a counter on the first floor and partitioned table seats on the second floor, but no private rooms. Solo yakiniku dining is common here. The first floor has counter-style seating, while the second floor has partitioned table seating. The dining area is spacious and lively, and the staff is accustomed to welcoming solo guests. The menu focuses on individual items, with moderate portions, so you won’t feel pressured dining alone.
The menu features a large selection of pork offal processed in the morning, such as the popular shiro pork large intestine, which has a chewy and elastic texture, with refreshing and not greasy fat, making it easier to eat than beef offal. It can be grilled to a slight char for extra flavor. There are also rare parts with less fat like udder, as well as shiro intestine, throat meat, old-style horumon, pork jowl, chicken neck, and more, offering a rich variety. For those who don’t eat beef, these pork and chicken parts alone can be satisfying, paired with the shop’s salt, sauce, or miso seasoning for diverse flavors.
Most pork offal is priced at 750 yen per portion, while another section including marucho beef small intestine, honeycomb tripe, and beef heart is listed at 850 to 890 yen. If you want to order a mix, there’s the Yami Mori mixed offal platter, with a small portion at 1,700 yen and a large portion at 2,200 yen; you can ask the staff about the parts included on the day.
Besides offal, there are non-beef options like pork ribs, stamina garlic pork belly, and raw lamb, as well as A5 grade lean meat and thick-cut beef tongue among the beef selections. For those wanting to try a variety at once, the Yami Mori platter mixes seven different offal types, ranging from rich to refreshing, cartilage to juicy. Fresh raw liver and heart are also frequently mentioned, sliced thickly with almost no odor, and pair well with salt and sesame oil.
For the finale, there are options like cold noodles and Yoshida ramen. The rice portions are generous, with bean sprouts, cabbage, kimchi, and grilled garlic each at 440 yen, which can be ordered with rice. If you want noodles to finish, cold noodles and three types of beef bone ramen—black, white, and red—are each 980 yen, with additional options like Katsuura tantanmen and spicy devil noodles. Two original Japanese menu photos are retained below for easy comparison of portions and options.
Overall, prices are affordable, with most items around 700 to 1,000 yen, offering high value for money, suitable for solo dining or gatherings with friends. Slow charcoal grilling locks in the meat juices, making it flavorful without being greasy. Whether you prefer the springy texture of offal or are looking for non-beef meat options, this place can satisfy. Enjoying fresh offal with charcoal and various parts in Kameido at night is a central part of the restaurant’s appeal.

♡ Little reminder: Clicking on the Japanese text in the menu will play audio
The following is organized according to two photos of the Japanese menu. Prices are in Japanese yen, tax included, and are subject to availability and prices on site. Changing the grill net costs 40 yen each time; you can inquire about half portions of bean sprouts and cabbage. In the yakiniku category, ‘raw’ indicates fresh meat that needs to be grilled before eating; if you’re unfamiliar with certain offal parts, please ask the staff for an explanation.
